Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine announced his plans to meet with the leaders of the United Kingdom , France , Italy, and Germany in separate meetings to discuss the ongoing conflict with Russia.

During a press conference in Croatia, where he was attending a summit with Balkan leaders, Zelenskyyy stated, "I will meet separately in each country with the leaders of Britain, France, Italy and Germany."

The exact dates for his meetings with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni were not disclosed but his meeting with French President Macron is scheduled for Thursday, AFP reported.

However, it was reported that Zelenskyy is scheduled to meet with Pope Francis at the Vatican on Friday, and local media had previously suggested that he would also meet with Meloni during this visit.

The French presidency stated in a statement that the meeting will serve as an opportunity to "reaffirm France's determination to continue to bring infallible support to Ukraine and its people in the long-term and with all its partners."

On Wednesday, accompanied by Ukraine's defence minister, Macron visited eastern France to meet with Ukrainian soldiers undergoing training as part of a new 4,500-strong brigade that is being funded and equipped by France.

The planned Ukraine defence meeting at the US airbase in Ramstein, Germany, which was to include Zelenskyy, US President Joe Biden, and other leaders, has been postponed due to Hurricane Milton. Biden had to cancel his visit to Germany on Saturday because of the hurricane. Zelenskyy expressed his understanding of Biden's decision, saying, "any leader in similar circumstances would have stayed in their country."

Despite the postponement, Zelenskyy emphasized the significance of the Ramstein meeting's leadership format and expressed hope that a new schedule would be prepared soon. He also mentioned that during his meetings with European leaders, he would aim to present his victory plan to all partners at the rescheduled Ramstein meeting.
