NEW DELHI: A cargo flight arriving from Kuala Lumpur experienced a technical issue in its fourth engine while landing at Chennai airport on Tuesday, official sources told PTI. Initially, PTI reported that a fire had broken out in the engine during landing.
However, the Chennai airport authority later clarified in a statement: “There was no major fire in the engine while landing. There was a minor spark and smoke in the engine, which may be due to oil, dirt, residues, etc. The aircraft didn’t suffer any damage.”
