LUDHIANA: Ludhiana Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal conducted a detailed review of the on-going projects of the National Highways Authority of India in the district on Friday and emphasized the need for speedy award distribution to the landowners and acquisition of remaining land.
In a meeting with officials, including ADC Jagraon Poonam Singh, Deepak Bhatia, Rajnish Arora, Beant Singh Sidhu, DRO Ankita Aggarwal, NHAI project directors Priyanka Meena, Parshant Mahajan, and others, Jorwal took stock of every highway project underway in the district, including Ludhiana-Roopnagar, Delhi-Katra, Ludhiana-Bathinda, and more. He directed them to accelerate the pace of the projects to ensure completion within timelines.
The Deputy Commissioner also instructed the officials to identify and remove any bottlenecks that might hinder progress, urging a proactive approach to resolving issues in consultation with the landowners. He also stressed the importance of seamless coordination among various departments to facilitate the smooth execution of these infrastructure projects .
Jorwal stated that the district administration is committed to peaceful possession of pending lands for highway projects and ensuring these works get complete as soon as possible.
