JAISALMER: Pakistan sent drones across the border for a second straight day Sunday in Barmer and Jaisalmer districts of Rajasthan, despite a pause in Indo-Pak military action since late Saturday.
Indian forces responded by shooting down an unconfirmed number of drones, leading to loud explosions.
A red alert was issued in Barmer around 8.30pm, prompting warning sirens across the district. Barmer collector Tina Dabi confirmed multiple drone movements in city areas and nearby localities.
"Based on inputs from armed forces regarding heavy drone activity, we verified and enforced strict security measures, including sounding sirens three times," she said.
