JIND: Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda addressed a rally in support of Congress candidate Brijendra Singh in Chhatar village Uchana Kalan assembly of Jind district . He stated that the moment the entire state has been waiting for—to rid itself of BJP ’s oppressive government—has finally arrived. He emphasized that BJP deceived voters in 2014 and 2019, and now the people of Haryana will hold them accountable for their broken promises. The public has understood that voting for Congress is the only way to remove BJP from power, as there is no trust in other vote-splitting parties and independents regarding their post-election actions. He recalled how the JJP deceived voters by allying with BJP after the last election.

Hooda mentioned that last time people wanted to defeat the BJP government, but Dushyant Chautala and independents betrayed their voters, enabling BJP to form a government. He indicated that if the party that won one seat last time were to win more, they would act similarly to Chautala. Just before the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP and JJP broke their alliance when they realized the public's sentiments were against them, leading to a change in their leadership and candidates without altering their arrogance. Now, the public will replace this government, he added.

Hooda highlighted that the day BJP removed Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, the truth about their corrupt alliance was exposed. He criticized BJP for planning to cheat voters again in 2024, stating that the last ten years of BJP rule have devastated Haryana. Once known for development and prosperity, Haryana is now first in unemployment, crime rates, drug addiction, and inflation, according to the central government. The BJP has entangled citizens in property IDs and portals, leaving unemployed youth stuck in CET and temporary recruitments while eliminating 200,000 government positions, he said.

He announced that a Congress government would fill these vacant positions based on merit and the job calendar, ensuring prompt appointments for the youth.

Expressing joy at the moment, MP Deepender Hooda declared that upon Congress's return to power, they would provide women with ₹2,000 and subsidized cooking gas cylinders under the Mahalakshmi scheme , similar to the initiatives in Karnataka and Himachal. He promised social security benefits, including a pension of ₹6,000 for the elderly, disabled, and widows, reinstatement of the old pension scheme for employees, and 200,000 permanent job opportunities for youth.

Additionally, he committed to making Haryana drug-free, offering 300 units of free electricity to families, and ensuring free medical treatment up to ₹25 lakh. Farmers would receive guaranteed MSP and immediate compensation for crop failures. Under the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Housing Scheme, poor families would be given free plots of 100 square yards and two-room houses worth ₹3.5 lakh through the Indira Housing Scheme. He also pledged to conduct a caste census and raise the creamy layer income limit for backward classes to ₹10 lakh.

A chaotic scene unfolded as Congress leader Deepender Hooda's helicopter struggled to take off due to an overwhelming crowd in Pundri town of Kaithal district. The incident led to the suspension of the Station House Officer (SHO) for alleged negligence in maintaining law and order. The helicopter was unable to depart as supporters and onlookers swarmed onto the aircraft, compromising safety protocols. Authorities promptly took action, suspending the SHO Ramniwas for failing to control the crowd and ensure the leader's security.
