Oppo has announced a partnership with MediaTek to debut the new Dimensity 9500 chipset in the upcoming Oppo Find X9 Series . This will make it the first smartphone lineup globally to feature MediaTek’s latest flagship platform . The announcement was made at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, where the companies emphasised their shared goal of advancing on-device AI , performance efficiency, and mobile imaging.
MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset for Find X9 series: Performance and features
Unveiled at the IMC, the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 features a third-generation All-Big-Core CPU architecture with one 4.21GHz ultra-core, three premium cores, and four performance cores.
This new architecture delivers up to 32% higher single-core performance and 17% higher multi-core performance compared to the previous generation. It also significantly improves power efficiency, reducing peak power consumption by up to 55% for extended battery life.
Graphics performance is handled by the Arm G1-Ultra GPU, which achieves up to 33% higher graphics performance and 42% better power efficiency, enabling console-grade ray tracing on mobile devices. These capabilities will be supported by a customised cooling system in the OPPO Find X9 Series for sustained, high-frame-rate gaming.
MediaTek showcased the chip's AI capabilities through real-time demonstrations, including image-to-image AI rendering, 4K text-to-image generation, and advanced graphics powered by Unreal Engine technologies like Mega Light and Nanite.
