LeBron James and his wife, Savannah James , have been one of the NBA's power couples who have been together in their ups and downs. The duo shares three kids together LeBron "Bronny" James Jr., Bryce Maximus, and daughter, Zhuri Nova . In an interview with The Cut magazine, Savannah candidly revealed their family’s go-to genre and— believe it or not— it was a shared love for horror films.

Savannah James is not scared of horror movies . "You know what? There is. We really thrive in our routine. Everyone: LeBron, Bronny, Bryce, Zhuri,” shared Savannah James, giving fans a rare peek into their day-to-day life. “I get up, and I usually take Zhuri to school. I don’t like to work out in the morning just because I don’t like to wake up to work out. But I do like to get it done at some point during the day,” Savannah told The Cut in 2023.

Despite the family’s star power, their lives are structured with a relatable cadence. LeBron and Savannah have instilled independence in their children. Bronny, now of driving age, takes himself to practice. Zhuri, the youngest of the family, balances school, dance, and volleyball practices, with a little help from their trusted nanny, Courtney. “Zhuri, with her volleyball, only practices on Fridays and Sundays. She dances at school, and I have help with her from our nanny, Courtney,” Savannah explained.

When everyone’s home, that’s when the James family truly comes alive. “By the time everyone is home, we’re all chilling; we’ll have dinner, we’ll watch a movie,” Savannah said. And it’s not just any movie— they’re a horror-loving family through and through.

"It’s just entertainment to us. I know that’s so weird and dark to say, but we love horror movies and we love watching them together," she added. Savannah even prides herself on predicting plot twists. “And I usually figure it out within the first 15 minutes, and I’m like, This is the killer. This is what’s going to happen. Usually, I’m right. Pat myself on the back for that. I do really good.”

While they all enjoy horror as a family, Savannah draws the line when it comes to age-appropriate viewing. “Yeah. Zhuri likes to watch them, but I censor that,” she said with a chuckle. Still, their shared interest isn’t just limited to the usual slasher flicks, as she has a passion for cult classics and spine-tingling TV.
“I’m definitely a cult-classic girl,” Savannah admitted. “I like Freddy. I like Jason. I like Michael Myers. I like the Scream series. The new one was really good. And I put it on my Instagram sometimes, but I’m a huge fan of the American Horror Story series. Definitely looking forward to that new season,” she said at the time.

Savannah’s life around her family shows that they make sure to have fun amid all the pressure and constant media attention. Certainly, LeBron’s family is one of the most talked-about basketball families, but beyond the spotlight, they take out much-needed time to relax together with the thrill of horror stories.
