Prof Chintamani from Sir Gangaram Hospital points out that microplastics from black plastics, ingested through food and beverages, add to the body’s cumulative toxic load, further compounding potential health risks.
Although no study has definitively proven a direct link between black plastic and cancer, the chemical composition of these plastics warrants caution.
