Kanthapuram backs government's actions against terrorism and extremism

Kochi: Samastha Kerala Jem Iyyathul Ulama general secretary Kanthapuram AP Aboobacker Musliyar sent a letter to the Prime Minister expressing his support to the measures govt took against terrorism and extremism.

"At this critical juncture, when our country is steadfastly confronting the menace of terrorism and extremism, I wish to convey my unequivocal support for the strong and principled stance adopted by the govt of India and the courageous efforts of our armed forces in safeguarding the sovereignty, unity and security of the nation," stated the Sunni leader in his letter.

Terrorism poses a grave threat not only to national stability but also to global peace and human dignity, he said. "India's proactive measures to curb the activities of extremist forces, particularly in regions prone to unrest such as Kashmir, reflect govt's deep commitment to protecting innocent lives and upholding the values of justice and humanity. These actions are not only essential for national integrity but also serve as a vital contribution to regional and international peace," he said in the letter.

He added that India's strategic interventions and diplomatic leadership could play a transformative role in countering radical ideologies and promoting sustainable peace across South Asia.

"Through principled diplomacy, firm resolve and inclusive efforts, our nation can continue to emerge as a beacon of stability in a turbulent world. I urge all citizens to stand united in support of these national efforts. We must all, regardless of faith or background, act as custodians of the values that bind us as a diverse yet harmonious nation. May the Almighty guide and strengthen the leadership of India in its noble pursuit of peace and security," the letter said.
