Market for organic fruits, vegetables launched

Erode: District collector Rajagopal Sunkara on Sunday inaugurated an organic market in Erode, where exclusively organic fruits and vegetables would be sold.

The horticulture department has set up the market to assist and promote farmers engaged in the cultivation of organic fruits and vegetables.

This market features 14 stalls, with vendors receiving organic certification from the horticulture department. The market operates daily from 6am to 9am, and the collector encouraged the public to utilize the organic market to foster an organic environment.

According to the collector, one such market has been established on the premises of the Walker's Club in the city.
