Travis Ward, the suspect in the shooting at a Halloween party at Vancouver mall in Washington on Thursday. Vancouver Police revealed the identity of the suspect on Sunday, saying that he was arrested around 6 p.m. on Saturday, hours after the shooting. The 32-year-old Ward was staying a house in Vancouver, the police learn from the initial investigation of the crime scene. Vancouver Police deputies, with help from tactical units, surrounded the house, forcing Travis Ward to surrender. Travis Ward has been kept at the Clark County jail in Texas. He has been charged with first-degree murder and two counts of first-degree assault. Ward was arrested based on information from two woman, who were present at the crime scene, but were not suspects. The police identified that the women had crucial evidence which they shared with the detectives, helping them with identifying Ward. One person was killed in the shooting and two people were injured. However, the injuries were minor, and as per reports, they have been treated and have been discharged from the hospital. The victims, both men, as per a report by FOX 12, were aged between 30 and 40. The incident happened at before 7 p.m. on Thursday evening, as per Vancouver Police. In the initial press release after the shooting, the police said the following: “Witnesses reported that a person in the food court area shot another individual and fired other rounds that struck two other individuals.” “When police arrived, they located one person deceased and two other people who were injured who were transferred to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment of their injuries.”
