India are all set to take on New Zealand in the first Test of the three-match series at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. This will be a crucial series for Team India, as a 3-0 whitewash win will result in them qualifying for the final of the World Test Championship 2025 for a third straight time. The home side have all the momentum in the world by their side having whitewashed Bangladesh recently. However, the rain in Bengaluru might just play spoilsport.

While the weather will remain cloudy with just 6% chance of rain from 9.30-11 PM, the showers will set in during the afternoon. There is a 47-51% chance of rainfall along with thunderstorms from 1 PM to 3 PM IST. This could lead to a big chunk of time and overs being deducted from the day's play. However, the superlative drainage system of the Chinnaswamy would ensure that a majority of the play on Day 1 takes place.In addition, bad light and visibility issues might also kick in due to the cloudy weather throughout the day.
