Beat The Chasers fans predicted ITV bosses would be having a talking to Paul "The Sinnerman" Sinha after he appeared to deliberately miss questions leading to a contestant winning £30,000 - and viewers were thrilled about it. An 84-year-old contestant called Dorothy stole the hearts of viewers on the latest edition on Sunday, September 21, as she described her daredevil adventures. In what is surely a show first, she told host Bradley Walsh she wanted to win money to pay for the insurance so she could go wing walking for her next birthday. As she started answering questions, people flocked to social media, willing her to win.
When it came to selecting her Chasers she turned down the chance to win £100,000 for taking on five and instead opted to play three in order to try and win £30,000. She faced Paul, Jenny "The Vixen" Ryan and Mark "The Beast" Labbett. As the clock ticked down it looked like she would be pipped at the post by the Chasers.
However she ended up victorious when Paul messed up on not one but two questions. Firstly he jumped in before Bradley had finished asking the question "Who became Emperor..."
He threw out Napoleon as an answer, which was incorrect and bought Dorothy some more time. He then buzzed in as Bradley asked what Indian title means great king. but a moments hesitation meant the clock ran out.
Dorothy threw her arms out in delight and Bradley rushed to hug her and congratulate her on her impressive win.
Viewers were also delighted and took to X to praise Paul for what they beleived seemed to be a deliberate effort to help her.

"Paul will be getting a disciplinary meeting for that one tomorrow morning," one penned. "Well Done Paul!! We know what you did there, and thank you for it," another praised.
"Paul blew it there," a third chimed in. "Well done Paul for f****** up and letting Dorothy win!... " a fourth praised.
"Paul really fecked that up," a fifth wrote. "#BeatTheChasers yaaaa Paul you messed up Dorothy was a fantastic lady well deserved £30000 can't wait for her wing walk," a sixth excitedly shared.
Dorothy's was the second big win of the night after the first contestant Matthew managed to win £25,000 taking on three Chasers. He tld Bradley he would be using it to furnish the new house he and his girlfriend had just purchased.
