Adam Morris and Jim Hull both present the YouTube channel, regularly appearing in videos to share their thoughts on certain used models, offering advice to help buyers avoid troublesome problems and get the best value for money.

In , Adam takes a look around a , stating that, whilst they may depreciate, they are brilliant cars to drive.

He advised: "When it comes to 'if you should buy a G20 3-Series at all', if you can justify the depreciation and you've got a few thousand dollars set aside for a potential rainy day, yeah, you should get one.

"Avoid the diesel engines as the petrol-powered ones are simply more impressive in every way and avoid some of the maintenance costs, and obviously make sure you do all of your critical pre-purchase inspection checks. But, find the right 3-Series, and what a great car."

Introduced in October 2018, the G20 is the latest iteration of the long-running BMW 3-Series range of saloons and estates and features styling distinctive to the German brand, such as the widened kidney grilles on the front and sculpted lines on the doors and wings.

Drivers can choose from a very considerable range of petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid powertrains, with the six-cylinder M340i model capable of accelerating from 0-62mph in just 4.6 seconds.

Whilst the BMW 3-Series is currently priced from £40,220 on the new market, drivers can pick up an early pre-owned example for under £10,000.

Getting behind the wheel, Adam highlighted that the transmission can be rough in the sport mode at lower speeds, but the BMW features a very enjoyable driving experience.

He added: "When it comes to complaints and issues in the driving experience, there aren't many. A few owners have mentioned that the turning circle is not fantastic, but that's not really a big one. The transmission in the sportiest setting can get a little bit confused if you're using it around town, some of the shifts can get a little harsh.

"How about the positives? Yeah, there's a few. In this M340i, this engine with the all-drive traction of iDrive, it is incredible for performance. In fact, on public roads, I don't know why anyone would need more power and get-up-and-go than this thing."

Whilst ReDriven recommended that motorists looking for a performance saloon should consider a BMW 3-Series, mechanic Jim Hull advised that motorists should make sure to check for oil and coolant leaks before they buy an example.

He explained: "The most common problem that you'll see on these things are oil leaks from the oil filter housing or coolant leaks from that same part. From the factory, they're made from plastic, they're weak, and they leak a lot.

"Now, you can buy aftermarket parts that are made from aluminium, they're cheaper than the real BMW ones, and they last much longer. It's a similar story with the coolant leaks from the thermostat and the water pumps. It's a pretty common problem on these."
