
The Great British Sewing Bee is back on BBC One with the competition series launching tonight, July 15.
Sara Pascoe oversees proceedings as 12 new sewers showcase their skills, with their first task being a pattern challenge, making a tie-front blouse.
The following made-to-measure round will test their skills with pleats as they create a perfectly shaped dress.
The amateurs will then face the transformation challenge, where the judges ask them to reimagine a circle skirt as a new garment.

Who are the new Great British Sewing Bee contestants?Caz - 59
Caz, from Nottingham, ran her family print business for more than 30 years before her recent retirement.
She started sewing when she was 11 and even made her own wedding dress.
Kit - 24
Kit, from Surrey, now lives and works in Manchester and started his sewing journey in primary school.
During his university days, he would make a new garment every week and loves exploring a haberdashery.
Gaynor - 72
The Welsh grandma has been sewing since the 1950s and now teaches her 12-year-old granddaughter.
Jess - 33
Jess, from Berkshire, started her sewing journey when she was 11, when she would use leftover scraps to make things for her sister.
She rekindled her love of sewing during lockdown and has not looked back.
Órla - 19
The German and Scandinavian student at the University of Edinburgh started sewing at the age of 15.
She loves making things for friends and family and hopes to one day have a completely self-made wardrobe.
Peter
The senior construction manager's interest in sewing started whilst watching the Great British Sewing Bee with his two daughters.
Since then, the entire family have been making their own clothes.

Glendora
Bus driver Glendora inherited her passion for sewing and quilting through her mother.
She has created 36 impressive quilts since June 2021.
Yasmin - 30
Yasmin, from Gateshead, is a research and development scientist whose family prefer to make and mend rather than buy new.
Her dad taught her how to make her own clothes from scratch.
Novello - 66
Inspired by Blue Peter, Welsh-born Novello's interest in sewing started at the age of five.
Dan - 37
Dan, a performer from Durham, has been sewing since he was 10 and has crafted his own costumes for his performances.
Saffie - 32
The lecturer in Product & Industrial Design from Haggerston learned to knit from her great aunt at the age of eight.
Since then she has made plenty of practical yet stylish pieces.
Stuart - 53
Premises manager Stuart constantly mends his family's clothes after his journey into sewing began when he started making hats in 2020.
Who are the Great British Sewing Bee judges?The resident judges are Esme Young and Patrick Grant.
Esme, 74, joined the show in 2016 and the designer has made costumes for some blockbuster films including Trainspotting and Bridget Jones's Diary.
After opening a store in London, she has dressed stars such as Grace Jones, Siouxsie Sioux and Cher.
Patrick, 51, has been on the show since its start in 2013.
He is a designer and creative director of bespoke tailors Norton & Sons of Savile Row, and won Menswear Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards in 2010.
