Victoria Beckham's new Netflix series promises to show her most unfiltered side yet - but insiders say some of the most dramatic moments will not be aired after her husband David Beckham stepped in. The former Spice Girl was reportedly determined to "go deep" on every part of her life for the upcoming docuseries, which lands tonight (October 9). But according to a source, David, 50, - whose production company Studio 99 is behind the show - demanded several scenes be removed to avoid "a full-blown retaliation" from their eldest son Brooklyn.
An insider revealed: "Vic has been more open than ever in this series - there are moments where you can see she's really vulnerable. She doesn't sugar-coat anything and talks about things she's never spoken about in public before, like how bad the financial situation at her fashion label got. But there were certain things that David felt would create headlines for all the wrong reasons, so those scenes were chopped." They added: "Vic wanted to take an access-all-areas approach - this was the rawest she's ever been.
"But it ended up causing drama between her and David, and even the kids were shaken by how much she revealed."
The footage allegedly included Victoria, 51, discussing her family's private tensions, including her "worries about further estrangement from Brooklyn", as well as her feelings towards his wife, Nicola Peltz.
"She spoke about everything - her fears over headlines about Romeo being labelled a Lothario, her upset about his split from Mia Regan, the big age gap between Cruz and his girlfriend Jackie Apostel, as well as her worries about Harper growing up in the spotlight," the source claimed.
The source claimed the revelations "struck a nerve" with David who wanted to protect the family.
It has been claimed Victoria also spoke about her relationship with Nicola and her worries about further estrangement from Brooklyn.
The trailer for the three-part series dropped earlier this month, showing the 50-year-old designer becoming emotional as she opened up about her struggles.
"There was a lot of tension in editing," the insider added. "Vic wanted this to be her most revealing project ever, but in the end, David's protective streak won out.
"A lot of incredible moments are now sitting on the cutting room floor because they just felt too explosive."
Brooklyn, 26, is notably absent from the trailer, despite his siblings Harper, 14, Cruz, 20, and Romeo, 23, all featuring. While scenes with Brooklyn were filmed at Victoria's 2024 Paris Fashion Week show, the final version reportedly only includes a passing mention.
It follows months of rumoured tension between the Beckhams and Brooklyn and his wife Nicola, 30, who missed David's lavish 50th birthday celebrations earlier this year.
The couple and his brothers also unfollowed each other on social media, before Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their wedding vows with no family present.
According to the insider: "He was absolutely furious when he saw how much Vic spoke about the Brooklyn situation. He warned her that even the slightest hint of public criticism would likely make things much worse and cause them to hit back even harder."
