Netflix Ransom Canyon's star-studded cast, trailer, release date and plot explained

Netflix's latest offering, Ransom Canyon, is set to captivate audiences, drawing comparisons to hit series Virgin River and Yellowstone.

The show features a glittering ensemble, with Josh Duhamel of All My Children fame taking the lead, alongside a host of well-known actors.

Netflix describes the upcoming romantic Western drama with the synopsis: "Passions run deep in a small Texas town, as three ranching dynasties fight for their land, their legacies and the people they love."

April Blair, the creative force behind the show who also penned scripts for Netflix's popular series Wednesday, shared with : "At its core, Ransom Canyon isn't just a town, it's an idea. It's the painful longing for your first love. It's the burning desire to protect your family. It's cowboys and lovers, grifters and thieves."

She added: "Lust, deceit, heartache, home... I think people are going to fall in love with this little slice of Texas and the dramas and romances that we created there."

Who is in the Ransom Canyon cast?

Leading the cast is Josh Duhamel, known for his roles in Ally My Children and Transformers, and Minka Kelly from Euphoria.

Duhamel portrays the resilient ranch owner Staten Kirkland, grappling with the death of his wife, reports .

Kelly brings to life Quinn O'Grady, who returns to Ransom Canyon to manage a local dance hall after her dreams of becoming a concert pianist in New York don't pan out.
