At age 21, already has four Major titles, winning his first when he was still a teenager. The Spaniard has already enjoyed a Hall of Fame-worthy career, reaching world No. 1 at 19. Last year, he became the youngest man to complete the 'Channel Slam', winning the French Open and Wimbledon back-to-back.
As a child, Alcaraz had always set his sights on being crowned the champion of Roland Garros, and he achieved his dream in 2024, beating Alexander Zverev in five sets. And the world No. 3 let the Netflix cameras in on his title-winning celebrations, joking that he wanted to get as "hammered as a nail" while enjoying champagne and pizza.
The men's draw at the 2024 French Open was one of the most open in years, with the usual suspects not at their best and going out early.
Rafael Nadal, the 14-time champion, lost in the first round after barely playing all year. Novak Djokovic pulled out injured after reaching the fourth round and underwent knee surgery.
In their absence, Alcaraz rose to the occasion, coming from two sets to one down in the semi-final against Jannik Sinner, and again in the championship match against Zverev. And he celebrated in style.
The world No. 3 allowed Netflix to follow him throughout the 2024 season for his new series, My Way, and cameras joined him all the way after he won his third Grand Slam title in Paris.
Alcaraz got into a car with his older brother, Alvaro, and his agent, Albert Molina, as they headed to a restaurant to mark the occasion and had a hilarious exchange. "It's drinks for dinner, dude," Alvaro jibed.
The 21-year-old was ready to let loose and replied: "So tomorrow, guess who doesn't have to deal with the press? I'm partying all night."
Molina wasn't too impressed, reminding Alcaraz that he had media commitments the following day. But the world No. 3 didn't want to let that scupper his plans.
"I'll just keep on going, Albert. Even hammered, as hammered as a nail in the wall," he said.
And when his agent warned him that he'd be knocking on his door at 11am, Alcaraz joked: "Try to make sure I'm alone!"
The trio arrived at a restaurant where Alcaraz's team and loved ones had already gathered to celebrate his victory. Molina let his hair down too, joking that the newly-crowned champion was his "little boy".
The moment stayed with Alcaraz, who enjoyed a night off from the strict routine of being a professional tennis player.
"Seeing all my friends from the village, my family, all my team, I was relaxed. I was able to eat pizza, eat whatever I wanted. Drink wine, champagne, everything I wanted. It was a very, very, very nice, very special moment," he said.
Alcaraz will hope for another special night in Paris when he returns to begin his title defence next month. For now, the 21-year-old will be focused on the Madrid Open, where he is a two-time former champion and the second seed in the draw.
