A popular in a beautiful is all set to close its doors at the end of this month. 's legendary barber shop, Benny's, will be shutting the shop after being in the business for nearly 60 years.
The barber shop opened in 1966 on Grove Street in the busy Fountainbridge area. It is run by Benny di Vettese and his son-in-law Tony Celini and is a traditional Italian-style men's barbershop. The last day of operation will be Wednesday, April 30. Benny's has long been a beloved fixture in the community, so its closure will be a significant loss for loyal patrons.
A notice posted in the barber shop informs customers of the sad news, reports .
It reads: "It's the end of an era! It is with both sadness and gratitude to announce that after 59 years in business, Benny's will be closing.
"It has been a pleasure to serve you and we are forever grateful for your support and loyalty over the years."
The notice ends: "Warmest wishes Benny and Tony. Closing date 30/04/25."
