President Donald Trump issued a personal swipe against former US leader Joe Biden during a heated press conference in which the 79-year-old also slapped down an ABC reporter in front of everyone in attendance due to "fake news" reporting. Trump was speaking from the White House following his trip to the Middle East, where he met with other world leaders to announce "war is over" between Israel and Hamas, as he said a Gaza ceasefire had been achieved.
During the press conference, Trump couldn't resist taking a bitter jibe at Biden when he took questions from reporters. He shared: "I'd love to go to Argentina. I'd like to be like Biden. I'd like to go to the beach, you know...
Unable to hold back, he swiped: "My legs are not quite as thin as his. My legs are slightly heavier, my arms are slightly larger - my body is a little larger than his. I'm not sure it would be appreciated on the beach, but I am not going to take a chance."
He added: "You won't see me sitting in a bathing suit on a beach in Argentina, falling down and not being able to lift a three-ounce chair. It was meant for old people to lift, and he couldn't lift it, so he had a problem."
Continuing his attack, he said: "Somebody told him he looked good in a bathing suit and you see this guy on the beach all the time - I never quit understood it."
Fox News viewers were quick to comment on Trump's savage remarks about 82-year-old Biden, who was the President between 2021 and this January.
Someone said on X: "Trump's Argentina quip, jabbing Biden's beach jaunts while flaunting his 'stronger legs,' masks a deeper dodge."
Another added, "President Trump always knows how to add a touch of humour! Maybe a trip to Argentina will be in the cards soon-sunglasses ready for the beach and all."
A third penned: "The beach beef we didn't know we needed: Trump vs Biden, calves edition." A fourth said: "Biden might have the beach, Trump has the commentary."
