Ratna Pathak: Veteran actor Satish Shah died on Saturday at the age of 74 due to kidney failure. His last rites were performed in Mumbai on Sunday. The actor had spoken to Ratna Pathak a few hours before his death.

Ratna Pathak: Veteran actor Satish Shah died on October 25 at the age of 74 due to kidney failure, leaving the film and television world in deep shock. Now, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai producer JD Majethia has revealed that the actor spoke to his co-star Ratna Pathak Shah just two hours before his demise.

In an interview to PTI, JD Majethia reported that Satish Shah had spoken to some of his close friends just before his death. "I couldn't believe it because he spoke to Aatish Kapadia at 11:00 am", JD said. Had also spoken to Ratna ji at 12:57. And two hours later we found out he was no more."

JD further said, "The day after tomorrow, we were going to meet. I was right under his house, but he said he was too tired to meet. I am about to retire. I told him, my family also wants to meet you. He loved his daughters very much and was very close to my wife. Talked to everyone on phone. "Look how I feel, how healthy I am", he said He told me, 'Aav ne pachi madiye, that pachi will never come again.'

In an interview to ANI, Satish Shah's manager Ramesh Kadatla revealed that the actor fainted while eating around 2 pm or 2:45 pm. He further said that it took half an hour to get an ambulance to take Satish to the hospital.

In a career spanning over four decades, Satish Shah has cemented his place as one of India's most beloved comedians and has won the hearts of audiences in both films and television. He is known for films like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Malamal, Hero Hiralal, Main Hoon Na, Hum Saath Saath Hain, Kal Ho Na Ho, Kabhi Yes Kabhi Na, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Sarabhai Versus Sarabhai, Om Shanti Om and Shaadi No. 1 His last rites were performed in Mumbai on Sunday.
