The White Lotus fans have their 'minds blown' as they make huge Greg Hunt discovery

fans couldn't contain their shock after realising that , who plays Greg Hunt, has also starred in another cult classic. The actor, 67, has been a fan favourite throughout three series of The White Lotus but on closer inspection, fans noticed that he also starred in the 2004 comedy film Napoleon Dynamite.

Jon played the iconic character Uncle Rico who was famed for being unable to live in the present as he fantasised about his past. Sharing anecdotes about his former high school football career garnered adoration among fans.

And on realising this, fans rushed to X to share their comments. One person said: "Just found out Jon Gries (Greg in the show White Lotus) was Uncle Rico in Napoleon Dynamite. Mind blown."

A second fans commented: "Jon Gries (Greg) from #TheWhiteLotus is Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite ?!? Omg."

Meanwhile a third person added: "Just realized Jon Gries of #TheWhiteLotus was Uncle Rico in Napoleon Dynamite!! I can still see him throwing that football…"

"OH MY WORD I've been watching "The White Lotus" for 3 seasons and I never realized this. And I LOVED Uncle Rico in Napoleon Dynamite but apparently not enough to actually figure out that this was the same actor, Jon Gries," said a fourth.

And a fifth stated: "Jon Gries is cool on The White Lotus, but to me he'll always be Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite."

Jon left fans of The White Lotus in shock when he returned for the first episode of series three. He played the villainous husband of Tanya in the first two series, played by.

However, this time his character Greg moved on and seemingly found love with new star Chloe, played by Charlotte Le Bon.

His return appearance was briefly noticed during a dinner at the hotel's restaurant. And it was at this point Chloe revealed that her and her boyfriend lived in Thailand for a year and own a house at the top of the hill but prefer to dine at the hotel.

His return was more shocking as only Natasha Rothwell's character Belinda had been the only cast member to be confirmed for the third series.

Jon's character Greg first appeared on the popular TV show in the first series which aired in July 2021.

And it was here that he met Tanya after they formed an instant connection. In the second series, the pair returned as a married couple.

During the series Greg had to return to Denver to fulfil work commitments but another guest Quentin kept her entertained.

Tanya then found a throwback picture of her husband with Quentin and then realised Quentin and his pals were trying to kill her.

Although it wasn't confirmed that Greg was part of Tanya's attempted murder plot, fans were convinced that he wanted to kill her to get his hands on her inheritance. This was down to the fact that she made him sign a pre-nup, blocking his access to her fortune.
