Pierce Brosnan has joined the rest of theA-list cast for the premiere of Netflix's The Thursday Murder Club, based on Richard Osman's novel of the same name.
Speaking to Radio Timesahead of the release of the film, the Hollywood star opened up about some of his other iconic roles, including James Bond.
Praising new director Denis Villeneuve, he teased he would be tempted to return to the franchise in some capacity.
The 72-year-old actor said: "There are many great candidates out there, I’m sure they’re going to make it a spectacle of delight.
"I don’t think anyone wants to see a craggy, 72-year-old Bond, but if [next 007 director Denis] Villeneuve had something up his sleeve I would look at it in a heartbeat."

Embracing the idea further, he shared: "Why not? It’s great entertainment. It could be lots of laughs. Bald caps, prosthetics… who knows?
“You hope and pray for courage for whenever that moment comes, so that you can carry yourself through it all.
"For now, I just greet each day with gratitude. Time past, time present, time future.”
Brosnan played James Bond in four films between 1995 and 2002 - GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day.
Since leaving the role of Bond, he has starred in films such as the comedy musical Mamma Mia! and its sequel Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.
On being cast as Ron Ritchie in Netflix's The Thursday Murder Club, he said in a separate interview how he was keen to work with director Chris Columbus again.
He shared: "Chris Columbus, is an old pal. We’d made Mrs Doubtfire and Percy Jackson together and he seems to come around every ten years or so with wonderful jobs for me.
"So, he sent me the script and I loved it, and then I read the book.
"Katy Brand did a magnificent adaptation of the book - filleting it and creating the essence of characters and storyline."
The Thursday Murder Club airs on Netflix on August 28
