Johnny Depp looks unrecognisable with bushy grey beard and new striking eyes for Hollywood return

Johnny Depp has undergone a dramatic transformation for his latest role, leaving him almost unrecognisable.

The actor is set to star in an upcoming film called Day Drinker, and Lionsgate recently gave fans a sneak peek at his character on social media. In the shared image, is seen leaning against a bar, clad in a navy blue suit and pale blue shirt, with a glass of scotch in hand. However, it's his new look that has caught everyone's attention.

Depp now sports long grey hair and a matching bushy beard, complete with a moustache. His usually hazel eyes appear to be a bright blue, likely due to contact lenses, and he looks notably tanned. Completing the new look is a simple gold ring can also be seen on his little finger.

Depp's role in Day Drinker marks his return to the big screen after several years of personal and legal troubles played out in the public eye. The synopsis for the hotly anticipated movie teases: "A cruise ship bartender meets a mysterious day drinker, only for them to be unexpectedly tangled in a criminal underbelly."

Word got out in October 2024 that the project had entered the pipeline, and there's been buzz around Sydney Sweeney being linked to the cast, although Lionsgate's official blurb stopped short of confirming her involvement.
