Spring is officially here, and with it the warmer weather and blue skies. It might have garden fans itching to spend every morning out on your patio supping a morning cuppa while watching the go by.

But to make the most of an outdoor space, it’s important to have a decent furniture set for you and your family to relax in. One of the most common choices for the outdoors is rattan furniture, thanks to its weather-resistant properties.

There are all sorts of styles, designs and sizes out there to cater for all needs, whether that be you and your partner, or a full sofa and dining set to accommodate several guests. As a fan of and the outdoors, I’ve taken a look at the likes of , Dunelm, Amazon and Wowcher to highlight four sets that are worth considering.

TecTake Rattan Garden Furniture Bistro Set - Amazon £117.15

First up is a bistro With two UV-resistant chairs and a glass table, the TecTake set looks a solid choice if you’re on the hunt for some patio furniture where you can sit and enjoy a morning coffee.

One delighted buyer said: “Lovely set of chairs and table, looks great in our garden.” Another continued: “Nice set. Good quality looks great in my daughter's garden.”

However, a third did note: “The cushions are so thin, they are not comfortable.”

Paris 8 Seater Garden Lounge Set - M&S £1,999

Marks and Spencer is renowned for quality, and is on the pricier side, it has the capability to seat eight people, and look very stylish in the process. The set is made in a contemporary modular style, from woven synthetic rattan on durable aluminium frame.

It also comes with cushions for added comfort. Just one shopper has left a review to date, and they were very pleased. Awarding the full five stars they said: “Quick delivery, great quality, surpassed expectations- only wish the rain would stop!”

Weatherproof 9-Seater Rattan Garden Sofa Set - Wowcher £549

At the more budget-friendly end of the scale, at almost half price, £549 instead of £999. It includes a corner sofa, dining table, stools and 15 extra padded cushions.

It’s also said to be weather-resistant thanks to a rust-proof aluminium frame and a UV-resistant finish. But despite the eye-catching price tag, it is worth noting that delivery is from £49.99.

Faro 2 Seater Black Bistro Set - Dunelm £179

If you’re on more of a budget, Dunelm’s is a bit more wallet-friendly. Comprising two chairs and one coffee table, the set would look right at home on a balcony in Italy.

The reviews have been a bit mixed, however. From the four left to date, the product has averaged 3.5 stars out of 5. One was very happy: “Delivered promptly and easily assembled, did require two people to bend the main framework. Comfortable to sit on even without cushions. Just what we wanted.”

Another was also thrilled: “The chairs look strange when you unpack them, sides and back in one piece. But I managed to put them together no problem on my own, mature lady..... Love them.”

But one wasn’t too pleased, writing: “A very poor quality item for the money and most definitely not worth it. Whilst it may look good in the photos, the reality of it is very different. Very disappointed."
