Send Push

is set for a huge shakeup as a key part of the show has been axed.

Show bosses have decided to scrap the terrifying Walk the Plank challenge that usually kicks off the series. Celebrities would start the show by walking along a plank that is on top of a 314ft building before being whisked into camp. This year, bosses have decided to change this up.

Stars of the show will now take on a brand new challenge, which they say is just as scary. Celebrities including , Tulisa and social media star Grace Keeling are expected to join the series. The plank normally took place on the roof of the Focus building in Surfers Paradise.

It was introduced in 2017. The can confirm: "The format needed a freshen up, so producers have decided to kick things off with something a bit special this series so it doesn't feel like it's becoming formulaic. They are dropping the segment in favour of an exciting new 'edge of your seat' challenge for some of the celebs.

"It was time to change things up - but bosses are staying tight-lipped on exactly what they've got lined up to replace the plank. Bosses are pulling out all the stops to ensure the show has a spectacular launch that viewers won't want to miss."

Before the stars have even entered camp, creepy crawlies have been getting ready. There seems to be more nasties and creepy crawlies in the New South Wales celebrity camp including flesh-eating leeches and giant earthworms, which reportedly rise out of out of the earth in heavy rain.
