EastEnders horror as Kat Moon held at knifepoint in dramatic cliffhanger

Zoe Slater's secret past is slowly coming to light, but in tonight's EastEnders it was her mother Kat Moon who was placed in danger due to her daughter's past.

At the end of tonight's episode, fans were left in shock as Greg, who Zoe thought she killed found his way to the Square, holding Kat at knifepoint in the Vic. But who is Greg and how did things get this far?

During Zoe's return a couple of weeks ago, we saw Zoe meet Greg in a flashback episode. It was revealed that he was a neighbour of Zoe's long lost son, and was willing to give information, for a price. With the help of Max Branning, Zoe gathered the money, however things later went south.

As he tried to assault Zoe, she hit him over the head, knocking him unconscious. She believed she had killed him, running out to tell Max who was waiting in the car. However, the two got into a blazing row when Max revealed he didn't want anything to do with it, as Zoe stormed out the car.

During tonight's episode, Stacey and Zoeheaded off to Gregg's house to see if he was still alive, and low and behold, he was. They kept the secret from Kat however, asking her to borrow one of their cabs so they could head to the 'charity shops'.

As the pair waited outside Greg's flat, Stacey asked if there was anyone else who was with her at the time, as Zoe revealed there was a man with her. Of course, she didn't reveal it was Max but she told Stacey: "I don't think he was over his ex."

The pair later saw Greg stumbling out his flat, as Stacey ran up to warn him to stay away from Zoe, even offering him money.

"She tried that before, and I almost got killed for my trouble," he said. "How much do you even know about her?" he exclaimed before spotting her in the car. Greg then demanded money before the pair drove off, thinking they'd lost him.

However, it seemed Greg had somehow followed them back to the Square, as when Stacey ran to tell Kat everything with a panicked Zoe behind her, they were horrified to see Greg already in there, holding Kat and knifepoint.

But what's next for Kat and Zoe and are all her secrets set to be revealed? Fans think so. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter one fan penned: "Had a feeling Greg was going to follow Zoe back to Walford - Stacey took a risk confronting him the way she did especially as she doesn't know the full facts surrounding Zoe's past. It looks like Kat will find out the truth about Zoe's son she adopted tomorrow night."

Another penned: "Love all the mayhem and drama of Kat having the Vic Jessie and Michelle are epic," while a third expected even more drama to come: "WATCH TOMMY COME DOWN BEHIND GREG AND HIT HIM TO SAVE KAT AND BE THE ONE WHO FINISHES THE JOB!"
