British rock band left fans "heartbroken" as they confirmed their final show at London's Wembley OVO Arena after 20 years together. The band announced their split last year, ending a glittering career which saw them attract a legion of fans and seven top ten albums.
In January last year, the group decided to share their farewell speech with fans with a video of them in a graveyard to illustrate the .
Ending their latest tour in London, the chart-topping stars posted a series of pictures to their accompanied by a caption that read: "We have been and always will be You Me At Six. "2005 -2025 thank you. Sixers forever."
And understandably, their post was met with a string of emotional messages from fans who pleaded with them to stay together.
One fan wrote: "Come back already please, this isn’t funny anymore gonna miss you all so much. Thank you so much for everything."

Another person said: "Thank you boys for your music and for saving me and so many of your fans, I’m heartbroken that you’re retiring but your music will always live on, thank you."
Meanwhile, a third commented: "So gutted. Soundtrack to my life since before I can remember, thanks guys x" And a fourth added: "Thank you for everything. You guys have been there through it all. Love you forever! LONG LIVE YMAS!!!"
Following their final show, singer revealed that he hadn't completely ruled out a reunion, although he claimed it felt right to close the curtain on the group on their 20th anniversary.
Speaking to the Daily Star, he confessed: "We want to stand behind what we're saying, so it would be wrong to say we have every intention to come back in 10 years or whatever."
He explained: "I don't know. I will never completely close my heart to the band, I don't think any of us will. But right now it feels far away from that. Never say never."
He went on to say: "It's odd to go out when you know you haven't peaked yet. We still have more to offer as a band, we could've made more records. "
He added: "It's a hard thing to walk away from, but a good thing we aren't jumping out of a vehicle that's about to crash. There's no sadness, it's just a good time."
The band first shot to fame in 2005 and are known for hits including Bite My Tongue and Sukapunch. Taking to X after their final show, Josh wrote: "When I have the words, I'll tell you how I feel."
Josh had been desperately trying to battle noronvirus before the band's final gig and was throwing up just hours before he was due on stage.
He added: "I've either been throwing up or s****ing. Trust me, this is far from perfect but I will die on this stage before I cancel a show. I was watching you all queue up from my hotel room earlier going, 'Wow'."
And paying tribute to their fans, he went on to say while on stage: "It has been an honour being your band for the last 20 years, thank you for inviting us into your homes, your headphones, your hearts, and there is only one thing left to say – please stand for your national anthem, Underdog."
Sharing a group hug while soaking up the emotional moment amid cheers and applause, Josh then said: "And just like that, we are dead, see ya later."
