Madhya Pradesh High Court: The Madhya Pradesh High Court has taken a tough stand on the controversial statement made by Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister Vijay Shah on Colonel Sofia Qureshi. The court has taken suo motu cognizance and directed to register an FIR against Vijay Shah within 4 hours. The division bench headed by Justice Atul Shridharan ordered the Director General of Police (DGP) to register an FIR immediately. The court also issued strict instructions to the state's Advocate General Prashant Singh and said that the FIR should be registered under any circumstances.
The High Court has decided to hear the case first thing on Monday morning. After this order, there is panic among the police and administration.
What did Vijay Shah say?Vijay Shah, while referring to Colonel Sofia Qureshi without naming her, said about the Pakistani terrorists in a meeting, “We sent their sister and got them beaten up.” This statement has increased their problems.

My family is also associated with the army. My statement was keeping in mind the pain of those sisters whose vermilion was destroyed by terrorists. Congress attack on Vijay ShahCongress has strongly attacked Vijay Shah's statement. State Congress President Jitu Patwari called it irresponsible. He said, "When the country is united against terrorism, senior BJP ministers are saying such disgusting things. PM Modi salutes the army, but a minister from his party says that we sent his sister. Who was this statement for? Sister of terrorists? This is shameful."
