While Punjab Kings continue to shine in IPL 2025 with three wins in four matches under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer and guidance of Ricky Ponting, team co-owner Preity Zinta has scored a major win off the field too — by bringing Glenn Maxwell on board as a business partner.
Glenn Maxwell Joins Preity Zinta’s Fitness VentureThe Australian all-rounder has officially entered the Indian startup ecosystem by investing in Drive FITT, a sports-fitness startup co-founded by Preity Zinta. The company also boasts Shubman Gill and Australian entrepreneurs Mark Sellers and Dek Smith as stakeholders.
Maxwell called the startup a perfect blend of his passions — cricket, performance, and recovery. “Drive FITT is my passion project. It’s a place where performance, recovery, and cricket come together,” said Maxwell.
“It’s Not About Money, It’s About Impact”In his first ever investment in India, Maxwell emphasized that it wasn’t just the business potential that drew him in. “The numbers didn’t attract me—the people did. For me, it’s about creating real impact, especially for athletes who want to train smarter and recover better,” he said.
A Player Who Knows the Pain of InjuryHaving battled several injuries during his career, Maxwell highlighted the importance of recovery systems. “I’ve lived the reality of injury, and I know what smart recovery can do. Drive FITT’s integration of data, performance metrics, and recovery support is the future of athlete training.”
