The body of the child has been taken into custody and sent to Bajpur Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased's aunt informed the police

Initial investigation by the police revealed that the incident took place late in the evening when Premshankar returned home drunk. After reaching home, he had an argument with his son over some issue, which escalated so quickly that in a fit of rage, he attacked his son on the head with an iron rod. After the attack, the son died on the spot.

Police arrested the accused

The deceased's aunt Asha Devi told the police that she heard the sound of someone digging a pit, after which she rushed to the room. Reaching there, she saw that Premshankar was trying to bury his son's body. When she stopped him, he started screaming that he had killed his son. Hearing this, Asha Devi immediately informed the police, after which the police arrested him on the spot.
