Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Reading crime thriller books, watching cricket, listening to music, dancing, painting - these were among stress-busters of toppers in CBSE Class 12 and Class 10 examinations. The results of the two exams were announced on Tuesday.
They come from humble families. Most of them focused on self-study and patience, hard work, consistency etc were their success mantras. Some want to join the IAS, others want to become engineers and judges.
Shrutika Jain from Class 12 who scored 99.4% said, Yes, I was expecting such marks. I didn’t take any coaching. I mostly focused on self-study. I used to devote three hours daily to self-study with short intervals. Economics was a little tough for me.
So I had to work more on it and I got 98. Whenever I had doubts, I used to consult school teachers to clear them. Patience and dedication are my success mantras. I used to paint to de-stress. I want to make career in judiciary. My father Indrapal Jain is an advocate and mother Saroj Jain is a homemaker. I have no social media accounts.
Arham Baisakhiya from Class 10 with 99.4% said, I was expecting a score between 98% and 99%. Normally, I used to devote eight hours daily for self study. Consistency is my success mantra.
I used to play keyboard, watch cricket and read newspapers to burn stress. My father Nitish Baisakhiya is an ENT doctor and mother Shikha Baisakhiya is associate professor at Gandhi Medical College. I want to be an engineer. I am not on social media.

Ishita Ranjan from Class 10 who scored 99.2% said, My target was to get 99 plus and I worked hard for that. I mostly focused on self-study and didn't take any coaching. I used to dedicate around four hours to self study. My success mantra is hard work.
My mother Sunita Ranjan is a homemaker and father Kumar Jyoti Ranjan is an accounts officer in PWD. I used to do classical dance - Kathak and painting to keep away from stress. I didn’t use social media. I want to join the civil services.
Ira Jain from Class 12 with 99% said My success mantras are to be clear and focused. I was expecting 99% plus. I used to dedicate six hours to self study. My mother Pooja Jain is a homemaker and father is a businessman. I used to listen to music and read crime thrillers to burn stress. I am not on social media. I only use Whatsapp. I want to be an IAS officer.

Shaurya Vardhan Sharma from Class 10 who scoed 99.4% said, I had a smartphone, but kept my distance from online games and internet media. I set a goal for myself. I mostly focused on self study. My parents guided and supported me a lot.
My father Kailash Sharma is a businessman and mother Karuna Sharma is a teacher. I studied by making a timetable. When feeling bored, I used to play chess and cricket. I want to be an engineer.
