Saffron Test: Saffron is one of the most beneficial things for health. Ringed saffron improves brain and memory function, the antioxidants present in it reduce oxidative stress, keep heart health healthy, and improve mood. Apart from this, the body's immunity increases, and it also shows an effect in weight loss. But the saffron available in the market can also be fake. Fake saffron does not give benefits but can definitely harm the body. At the same time, people think that the saffron available in the box is real (Real Kesar), but this saffron can also be fake. In such a situation, it is important to identify fake and real saffron. Know here how real and fake saffron can be identified with a small test. How to identify real and fake saffron

3 strands in a single root
The first identification of Kashmiri saffron is that 3-4 strands of saffron are hanging from one root, whereas you will not see this in fake saffron. That is why whenever you buy saffron, pay attention to the 3 leaves or rings of saffron.
The taste is different.
The taste of real and fake saffron is also different. Real saffron tastes a little bitter, whereas fake saffron, which is made by colouring corn cobs, tastes sweet.
Put it in milk and see
Another identification of saffron is that the colour of milk changes as soon as it is put in milk. Even a ring of real saffron changes the colour of a glass of milk like milk with turmeric. But fake saffron does not show such an effect.
Hot water test
Real or fake saffron can be tested with hot water. For this, put saffron rings in a cup of hot water and let them remain in the water for 5 to 20 minutes. Real saffron leaves a uniform colour, whereas the colour of fake saffron will be bright red and will be more in some places and less in others.

Check with your finger.
When real saffron is crushed between the fingers, it does not break, whereas fake saffron breaks and falls apart in one go. In this way, you will be able to easily know whether the saffron is real or fake.
