Good Bad Ugly, headlined by Ajith Kumar, made a sensational debut at the box office, minting Rs 29.25 crores on its opening day. The film, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, however, met with a significant drop in its earnings on the second and third day. Despite this fluctuation, Good Bad Ugly witnessed a notable boost in collections on its first Sunday.
According to a report by industry tracker Sacnilk, Good Bad Ugly raked up Rs 21.1 crore at the ticket window on Day 4. With this, the movie’s total domestic collection stands at Rs 85.1 crore. The film was released on April 10.

The action thriller recorded an overall occupancy rate of 69.13 percent in the Tamil market on April 13. The morning shows of Good Bad Ugly stood at 52.10 percent, followed by 73.46 percent for the night shows. The footfall encountered a surge in the afternoon, with 74.16 percent. Meanwhile, audience attendance peaked during the evening screenings, registering 76.79 percent.
The film recorded the biggest opening for a Tamil film in 2025 as well as one of the biggest opening day collections for Ajith Kumar.

Ajith Kumar slips into the shoes of a dreaded, retired gangster, Red Dragon, in Good Bad Ugly. The plot narrates the tale of Red Dragon returning to his violent activities after his son is wrongly arrested for a crime. Trisha Krishnan plays the female lead with Prabhu, Prasanna, Raghu Ram, Arjun Das, Sunil, Rahul Dev, Yogi Babu, and Shine Tom Chacko in supporting roles.

Ahead of Good Bad Ugly’s premiere, Raghu Ram heaped praise on Ajith Kumar for his dedication to his craft. The actor, in a media conversation, said, “He is (Ajith Kumar) next level. He does not need to earn more or seek approval from anyone. But he is still working and challenging himself. He has shown me that you decide your own life. He does not let the world define him. He is the centre of his own world. He is inspiring. You have to be crazy to change the world.”
