Diljit Dosanjh Concert traffic advisory: Check which entry gates to use, roads to avoid, parking availability and other details

The wait is finally over as Punjabi singer and performer Diljit Dosanjh has arrived in Delhi for the Indian leg of his highly anticipated "Dil Luminati" Tour.

On Friday evening, the "Kinni Kinni" hitmaker shared his excitement with fans on Instagram, posting a video of his arrival in India and warmly greeting his desi fans. Alongside pictures from his flight, Diljit expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming concert with the caption, "Delhi Ka Mausam Kya Keh Raha Hai DIL-LUMINATI TOUR Year 24."

The concert is scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday, October 26 and 27, 2024, at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (JLN), where large crowds are expected. In response, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued a detailed advisory to ensure smooth movement and public safety.

Entry points and emergency access
Concertgoers can access the stadium through Gate Nos. 2, 5, 6, 14, and 16. Gates 1 and 15 have been reserved solely for emergency use to maintain an open pathway for first responders.

Parking Arrangements
Parking for attendees is available at multiple designated locations near the stadium including:
  • The JLN Stadium Complex
  • CGO Scope Complex
  • Sunhari Pulla Bus Depot
  • Sewa Nagar Bus Depot and
  • Khush Nalla.


Road Restrictions and Timings
To manage traffic congestion around the stadium, restrictions will be in place from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM on both concert days.

Heavy Transport Vehicles (HTVs) are prohibited from using the route from JLN Stadium Red Light to the entire stretch of B.P. Marg during these hours. The public is advised to avoid B.P. Marg, Lodhi Road, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg, and surrounding roads to reduce congestion.

Emergency Vehicles and Public Advisory
Emergency vehicles, including those from the police, ambulance, and fire brigade, will have unrestricted access to the area. However, they are encouraged to avoid B.P. Marg and Lodhi Road where possible to avoid delays.

The Delhi Traffic Police has urged the public to use public transportation to ease congestion and advised residents and visitors to plan their journeys in advance. Concertgoers and regular commuters are encouraged to follow all traffic police instructions to ensure a smooth experience for everyone.
