While most parents typically celebrate their children's exam successes, a couple in Karnataka took a different approach this exam season. They threw a party to mark their son's failure in the Class 10 board exams, choosing to honour his genuine efforts rather than the outcome.
Abhishek, a student from a private school in Bagalkot, Karnataka, scored just 200 out of 625 in the state board exam and didn’t pass any subject. However, rather than scolding him, his parents decided to encourage him and boost his morale.
They bought a cake and sweets to lift his spirits and motivate him to do better in his next attempt.
"Abhishek scored 32%, and this figure was written on the cake. As Abhishek cut the cake, all of us, the family members, fed him and motivated him to perform better next time," he shared.
In addition to Abhishek's parents, his sister, grandmother, and other relatives also joined in the celebration.
In response, Abhishek said, "Even though I failed, my family supported me. I will retake the exam, pass, and succeed in life."
