BTS member Jungkook surprised fans on Friday (August 29) with an unexpected live broadcast on Weverse shortly after returning to South Korea from the U.S., where the group had been working on their comeback album. What started as a simple live chat quickly turned into a fun and lively session when fellow member V, also known as Kim Taehyung, joined him. Their playful interactions and genuine laughter delighted millions of fans around the world.

Jungkook opens up about adult ADHD

During the live, Jungkook opened up about something very personal, he revealed that he has adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This came after a fan asked him to stop moving so much while sitting. Jungkook explained that he couldn’t control his constant fidgeting because of his condition.


For the unversed, ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder where people often find it difficult to focus, sit still, or control impulses. According to Mayo Clinic, Although it’s called adult ADHD, the symptoms usually begin in childhood and carry on into adulthood. Sometimes, ADHD isn’t noticed or diagnosed until someone is older. In adults, signs like hyperactivity may become less obvious, but challenges such as impulsive behavior, restlessness, and trouble focusing often remain.


Treating adult ADHD is much like treating it in children. It typically involves medication, therapy, and support for any other mental health issues that happen alongside ADHD.

Jungkook’s honesty was met with widespread support from fans, especially those who also experience ADHD or are neurodivergent. Many praised him for speaking openly about the disorder, which helped normalise conversations about mental health in the K-pop community.

Fans also loved when V unexpectedly joined the live broadcast. The two shared jokes and teased each other, offering a glimpse of their close friendship, often affectionately called "Taekook" by fans.

The live broadcast drew an impressive 17.7 million viewers within two hours, highlighting BTS’s huge global influence even during casual moments.

Lastly, BTS confirmed that the group will be making a full comeback in spring 2026. All seven members, including Jungkook and V, have been working hard on new music during their recent time in the U.S..
