New Delhi [India], September 27 (ANI): The Delhi Government appointed Ram Naresh Singh and Surendra Babbar as pro-tem members of the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) on Thursday.
Chief Minister Atishi administered oath of office and secrecy to both pro-tem members, Ram Naresh Singh and Surebdra Babbar.
"Congratulations to Sh. Ram Naresh Singh and Sh. Surender Babbar on being sworn in as pro-tem members of the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC). Their experience and expertise will be invaluable in strengthening Delhi's power sector. Wishing them both success in this important role," posted Delhi CM Atishi on X.
The order for the appointment of Ram Naresh Singh and Surendra Babbar as pro tem members of the DERC was issued after being shortlisted by the Supreme Court-appointed panel.
Congratulating these two newly appointed members on their appointment, Chief Minister Atishi said that, with the experience of these two members, Delhi Government is ready to further improve the power department.
"Power is a very important sector and in the last 10 years, the AAP government has worked continuously to improve this sector," added Atishi.
"We are committed to providing 24x7 electricity to the people of Delhi by making our power infrastructure stronger. The appointment of Protem members is an important step in this direction. With their experiences, we will improve the power infrastructure of Delhi," CM Atishi said.
Ram Naresh Singh is an electrical engineer who has served as the Chairman of Damodar Valley Corporation. Surendra Babbar is posted as Executive Director (Finance) at Delhi Transco Limited. (ANI)
