UCEED 2026: The date of when the national level entrance exam, Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED), to be conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, will be held in the year 2026 has been released. This exam will be conducted by IIT Bombay on January 18, 2026. Registration for the exam will start on October 1, 2025. Admission will be given in BDes
On the basis of the rank of UCED 2026, admission will be given in the Bachelor of Design (BDes) program of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Roorkee and Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) located in Jabalpur. Those doing BDes from these institutes can make a career in the field of product design, interaction design, communication design, industrial design, animation design etc. Apart from the four-year bachelor's course, IIT Bombay also runs a five-year dual degree BDes + MDes program.
Eligibility required to give UCED
Candidates who have passed the 12th or equivalent examination in the year 2025 in any stream of Science, Commerce and Arts and Humanities from a recognized board or are going to give the 12th examination in 2026 can apply. Any candidate can give UCED a maximum of two times. For more information, you will have to wait for the information brochure to be released by IIT Bombay on October 1, 2025.
