RBI Grade B Recruitment 2025: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the recruitment notification for Grade B officers, providing a golden opportunity for the youth across the country. A total of 120 posts will be filled under this recruitment. The application process will start from 10 September 2025 and will run till 30 September 2025 at 6 pm. Interested candidates can apply through the official website of the RBI at rbi.org.in.

RBI Grade B Vacancy Details: Number of Vacancies
This recruitment drive includes three streams. The highest number of posts is in Grade-B (DR) – General Stream, which is 83. Apart from this, 17 posts are available in the Department of Economic and Policy Research (DEPR) and 20 posts in the Department of Statistics and Information Management (DSIM). Overall, this number reaches 120.

Educational Qualification and Eligibility

RBI has fixed different educational qualifications for different streams.

For the general stream, the candidate must have passed a bachelor's degree in any subject with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or 55% marks in postgraduate (only pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD). Apart from this, CA or equivalent professional degree holders can also apply.

A master's degree in economics, finance, econometrics, or a related subject is required with a minimum of 55% marks. Candidates with PGDM/MBA (Finance) and teaching/research experience may get age relaxation.

DSIM stream requires a master's degree (minimum 55% marks) in statistics, mathematical statistics, mathematical economics, or a related subject. Apart from this, M.Stat. from ISI, or PGDBA holders from ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur, and IIM Calcutta will also be eligible.

Age limit
The age of the candidate should be between 21 and 30 years as on July 1, 2025. At the same time, the maximum age for M.Phil holders is 32 years, and for PhD holders it is up to 34 years.

Application Fee
General and OBC candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 850.

The fee for SC/ST and PwBD candidates is only Rs 100.

Exam Schedule and Pattern
This recruitment process consists of three stages - Prelims, Mains, and Interview.

Prelims Exam (Phase-I)

The Grade-B (General) exam will be held on 18 October 2025.

DEPR (Papers 1 and 2) and DSIM (Paper 1) exams will be held on 19 October.
The prelims exam will have a total of 200 questions, which will be worth 200 marks. Candidates will get 120 minutes to solve the paper. It will include questions from General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and Reasoning.

Mains Exam (Phase-II)

The Mains exam for Grade-B (General), DEPR, and DSIM streams will be held on 6th December 2025.

Paper 1: Economics and Social Issues – Objective + Descriptive (100 marks, 120 minutes)

Paper 2: English Writing Skills – Descriptive (100 marks, 90 minutes)

Paper 3: Finance and Management – Objective + Descriptive (100 marks, 120 minutes)

After this, the selected candidates will be called for an interview, which will be of 50 marks.

Fill out the online application form and register.
