Two young women who have been in a for six years say they’re bombarded with hateful comments because they look alike and people believe they . Princess explains that a lot of the couple's critics are “old men.”

Her girlfriend Jess adds: “I don’t know why. They’re so mean.” She adds that they constantly receive comments and messages saying things such as: “Why are you looking at your sister? That’s incest.”

While the pair told the podcast their resemblance to each other was a big part of their initial attraction, they look even more alike now. Jess was a much more “basic” dresser when they first met, Princess says, but over the years the pair have deliberately created a shared style, with matching clothes and haircuts.

They even have matching tattoos, although Princess says that they have so many now that they’ve “stopped counting and they no longer have any idea how many there are.”

Jess adds that although they’re similar, their tattoos are not quite identical: “Our face tattoos say different things because we are individuals even though we’re together a lot and we dress the same.”

Princess explains that they didn’t always look quite so similar: “We started looking more alike when we decided to dye our hair together. We started social media a year ago and from the first time we ever posted, everything went viral.”

Their “Satanic” goth-inspired style stands out as being particularly outlandish in rural Kansas, where they live. However, Princess says, “judgment really doesn't affect us because we don't live our life for anybody except for ourselves.”

Complaining that they are often sent cruel comments from online trolls, and are described as terrible dancers, Jess adds that every insult online is really a compliment: “You took the time out of your day to say something about us instead of worrying about yourself.”

The pair spend a lot of time online, and have built a fanbase that they describe as a “cult.” Princess explains that their videos are mainly just chatting and singing little songs though: “We don’t really do any PDA or touching or kissing because we just get backlash from it in a way that affects us.

“We started a cult and we let everybody know that this is our cult these are the roles and you’re more than welcome to join.”
