People mind-blown after discovering you can cook frozen pizza one slice at a time

Send Push

Cooking pizza just got a whole lot easier.

Although it's not the healthiest food on the market, few can deny how tasty pizza is. Takeaway pizza is by far the nicest way to enjoy the cheesy slices, but there's nothing wrong with a supermarket frozen pizza either - especially if you're looking to cut down on the cost of an expensive takeaway.

But there's one issue with frozen pizza - you usually have to cook the whole thing at once. For the times when you're starving hungry, this is no issue, but there are times when you might not want the entire pizza. If you're cooking for young children or want a lunch snack, one or two slices might be enough.

If you're tired of cooking an entire pizza just to end up having to reheat some slices or even throw them away, then one food fan on TikTok has the perfect hack for you.

According to a woman named Madi, you actually don't have to cook the whole pizza at once. Instead, you can use a sharp knife to cut through the pizza while it's still frozen, separating it into slices that can be cooked individually. What's more, these slices can be thrown in the air fryer rather than the oven, saving you money on your energy bills at the same time.

In her video, she demonstrated the hack as she said: "You guys know you can just cut out a slice of pizza that's frozen and then throw it in the air fryer, right?" The trick seems so obvious, but many of us had never thought of it before it was pointed out, and commenters on the post were blown away by the revelation.

One person said: "Pardon!? Mind blown." While another questioned: "Why have I never thought of this?"

However, some people questioned why anyone would ever need to cook just one slice of pizza, with a few commenters even branding the hack "useless". The negativity prompted Madi to make a second video in which she highlighted some of the situations where the trick might be needed.

She said: "Broke college students trying to stretch out how much food they have, someone who's just looking for a quick lunch, it helps with small children and I've had a lot of people tell me this is going to be really useful for that, and really just those that are looking to not have a heart attack by the time they're in their 30s."

And there were far more supportive comments on the second video, with several people saying they'll be using the trick themselves the next time they buy a frozen pizza.

One person said: "I eat like two slices, this would be bomb. Definitely doing it next time." While someone else shared another possible use, stating: "Teenagers who don't want to use the oven and are air fryer experts!"
