Liam Payne's girlfriend 'grateful' as she shared sweet message in one of final photos of star

The late hitmaker was holidaying with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, who recently returned back to her hometown in America. The dad-of-one had been entertaining fans on his Snapchat just hours before his passing. One of Kate's final photos of the star resurfaced following his recent death.

She had taken a picture of him as they rode horses together in the calm countryside. In the picture shared on TikTok, the singer was wearing a simple t-shirt as he focused on mounting the horse. Kate captioned the sweet snap: "I am very grateful for the simple things in life."

Liam and Kate were first linked in October 2022 before the couple made their red carpet debut two months later. In March last year, she went with him to the premiere of All of Those Voices, which was made by his One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson. Kate could also be seen in many of his Snapchat stories.

Following news of his death, to post tributes to the late star. Paris Hilton was among the celebrities who paid tribute to Liam after his tragic death, as she described the news as "so upsetting" while sending "love and condolences" to his friends and family. She tweeted: "So upsetting to hear the news of @LiamPayne passing. Sending love and condolences to his family & loved ones. RIP my friend."

Irish singing and television presenting duo Jedward wrote on X, formerly called : "RIP Liam Payne. condolences to friends and family." They added: "Sending strength to Cheryl and his son Bear and all the One direction Family." John and Edward Grimes, known as Jedward, started their careers on , the same reality TV show that launched One Direction.

"We Don't Talk Anymore" singer Charlie Puth also shared a moving tribute to Liam on Instagram. After posting a photo of them on his profile, he wrote on his Instagram Stories: "I am in shock right now. Liam was always so kind to me. He was one of the first major artists I got to work with. I cannot believe he is gone..." After sharing a video of himself and Liam, he added: "I am so upset right now, may he rest in peace."
