was left in tears after a terrifying moment at Tristan Thompson's brother Amari's birthday party where the teenager suffered a seizure. The emotional scene was featured on the latest episode of The Kardashians.
Amari was born with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS), which is a rare form of epilepsy that means he is wheelchair bound and requires round the clock care.
After Tristan's mum Andrea died in January 2023, the NBA star stepped up and became Amari's legal guardian. Khloe invited all the Kardashians to her house to celebrate the boy's 18th birthday, but their festivities took a frightening turn as Kris and Khloe took a moment to speak with Amari's full time caretakers.

The boy suddenly suffered from a seizure while Kris and Khloe were midway through their conversation with Noel Rojas and Alba Flores. The medical episode was not shown on camera, but Kris was filmed looking visibly shaken and broke down in tears when it happened.
Khloe tried to comfort her mother, reminding Kris that Amari has seizures often and has always come out the other side. In a confessional, the emotional birthday party host said: "Amari will never be a burden or anything like that. Amari is one of the most special souls I have ever met."
She also shared her perspective on why her mum may have been so affected by the seizure, adding: "When you meet someone who's so wonderful, and something so terrible happens to them, you do want to help, you do want to fix it and be there as much as you can. And I think my mom feels the exact same way. She has such a connection to Amari."
As his caretakers rushed to tend to the teen, Kris stepped aside to compose herself, wiping tears from her eyes. Khloe and MJ checked in on her, and Kris admitted she had never witnessed one of Amari's seizures before. She tearfully told them, "That was very overwhelming."
Khloe explained that while she has frequently seen Amari experience seizures, she understands how upsetting it can be for someone who is not used to seeing it.

The TV personality added: "When Amari's having a seizure, I know how to stay calm. I'm around Amari a lot, I've seen a lot of seizures. He has multiple seizures a day, I know what to do in these situations. But for someone who hasn't been exposed to that, it can be very scary and a very helpless feeling."
After the terrifying incident was over, the Kardashian family continued celebrating Amari's special day.
On the day the episode was filmed in July, Khloe shared a heartfelt tribute to the teen on , writing: "Happy 18th Birthday sweet angel Amari!! I can't believe you are 18! You have changed our lives in the best possible ways! Thank you for being an angel to us all! You are the sweetest, silliest, and most loving young man. I hope you feel how much we love and adore you our sweet angel Amari."
The post included several snaps of Khloe and Amari through the years, a video of her son Tatum kissing Amari on the cheek, and a nostalgic picture of Amari with his late mum Andrea.
