'Jeremy Clarkson is paying for my mortgage this month - and he has no idea'

A woman has been applauded after revealing that she managed to get Jeremy Clarkson to pay off her mortgage - but not in the way you might think.

Ali, from the Costwolds, stunned people when she revealed on social media recently that the TV star and farmer paid her bills. The content creator, who has raked in over 871,000 views on TikTok for her tips for exploring the Cotswolds, raked in over 90,000 views on a video where she explained: "So, Jeremy Clarkson is actually paying my mortgage this month. Here's your sign to go for it!"

Ali, who lives with her husband and dog, said it "sounds absolutely crazy to say" but her statement is true. It comes after Ali did a sneak peak look inside the TV star's new pub The Farmer's Dog and shared it on TikTok - raking in almost three million views.

She showed people around the pub which features an outdoor terrace, shop, restaurant, and pop-up coffee station. Ali said after sharing the video of the Clarkson's Farm star and his new business, she was able to get help with her bills.

Ali explained: "Luckily for me I had just been accepted onto the Creator Fund the day before, which was just a miracle to be honest. It did really well and my RPM was really high. Although he is not paying the full mortgage, he is paying my portion of the mortgage."

RPM is a tool that is used on TikTok to calculate how much money a creator should get when someone watches their video for 60 seconds or longer. It's TikTok's way of saying 'thanks' for the content creators contribution. A spokesperson for TikTok said: "The Creator Fund is not a grant or ad revnue sharing programme.

"Creators receive funds based on a variety of factors from their videos, and creators will know that performance on is dynamic - it changes naturally - so your funds will ebb and flow in the same way."

Ali was chuffed with the help, but Clarkson reportedly has no idea. Encouraging other people to follow in her footsteps, Ali added: "So really the point of this video is to say that you should just go for it.

"I know the fear of perceptions is really difficult, but my only piece of advice would be that you just have to stay consistent."

People rushed to comment on the video, and one individual said: "Absolutely love this, well done, hope you continue to grow." "That's brilliant, how wonderful," added another.

One other commented: "This is a brilliant story! So happy for you!"
