YouTuber-turned-boxer has revealed he will call out boxing sensation immediately after his clash with .
'The Problem Child' is currently in the final stages of his training camp ahead of his showdown with the former undisputed heavyweight champion - which is scheduled to at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, in front of up to 80,000 people.
Since making his professional debut back in 2020, the social media star has made a bit of a habit of calling out big names, past and present, in the world of combat sports. The 27-year-old has already defeated the likes of Nate Diaz, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva and Ben Askren in his short career so far. With a professional record of 10-1, his only defeat inside the squared-circle .
As for 'Iron Mike,' the 58-year-old hasn't fought a professional bout since losing to Kevin McBride back in 2005. The upcoming heavyweight dust-up between Tyson and Paul will be free to watch for current subscribers on popular streaming service , with the broadcaster opting not to put the fight on pay-per-view.
While Paul remains focused on the task at hand, it appears as if he has his next opponent in mind. , the 27-year-old is itching to fight Canelo in the ring next. “I do [have a callout], it’s Canelo.
"This moment will prove that I’m the face of , the largest attraction. Me vs Canelo at 200 pounds for the cruiserweight championship of the world is the biggest fight - arguably even bigger than me vs. Tyson. It makes so much sense. You know, Canelo is on his way out, he’s going to want a payday, and I want to show the world that all of the shit I’ve been talking about beating Canelo is actually true.”
It's not the first time, the outspoken American has called out the super-middleweight king. Immediately after his win over Ryan Bourland earlier this year, 'The Problem Child' used the opportunity in the ring to call out Canelo. "Canelo, stop ducking. I know you want it," he said.
"I'm repping Puerto Rico, you're repping Mexico, so it's Puerto Rico vs Mexico. I want Canelo. I want all the biggest names. Like I said, I'm the face of this sport. Truly, who's doing more for boxing than me? I keep on proving myself time and time again."
Last year, Canelo admitted that he but wouldn't do so until retiring from boxing. "Yeah maybe, but not right now," Alvarez said about possibly fighting Paul. "For me, not right now because I'm chasing other things in my career but you never know, maybe later." The world champion was then asked if a fight against Paul would come after he hangs up his gloves, to which he responded, "Yeah."
