Brooklyn Beckham 'wants to prove people wrong' as he hits back at 'nepo baby' criticism

The 25-year-old son of David and is one of the many celebrity children criticised for being a 'nepo baby' - a term used to describe people who may have gained opportunities in a certain field (such as acting or singing) due to their familial connections.

Brooklyn has had many passions over the years, with the star starting out as a photographer before gaining an interest in cooking. However, his cooking videos comments from to showcase how to make a sausage sandwich and a pasta prepared with store-bought sauce.

In a new interview with , Brooklyn discussed being a 'nepo baby', revealing: "Obviously I am one. But I couldn't help how I was born, at all." He continued: "There's always going to be people that say rubbish. But as long as you do something that makes you happy and you're kind to people, that's all that matters.

"I'm always gonna get it, no matter what I do. And I'm fine with that. It makes me work harder, because I’m like, I'm gonna prove these people wrong." With his new passion for cooking, it's no surprise Brooklyn launched his very own range of hot sauces called Cloud23 earlier this autumn.

His famous wife, , was hugely supportive as he launched the brand. She said: "I can't believe today is the day. I am so beyond proud of you baby. Watching you bring Cloud23 to life has been so special for me to witness. You have worked so hard on this and I'm so happy people get to finally try."

Brooklyn's mother, Victoria, wrote on social media after his launch event: "So so proud of you for making a dream come true!! You’ve put so much of yourself into this… Congratulations on your amazing launch, I am officially obsessed! Kisses."

Earlier this year, he was slammed for sharing a tutorial for a Flying Dutchman - a burger with onions instead of buns. While some of the former aspiring photographer's fans had nice things to say in the comments underneath Brooklyn's latest Instagram tutorial, with one describing him as an "incredible chef", the majority of viewers indulged in "hater" style comments Brooklyn has become accustomed to receiving since embarking on his career venture.

"It’s burger and chips you melt ….this guy needs a hobby," one user scorned in the comments, with another telling the former wannabe footballer: "You just made burger and chips [laughing face emoji]."
