Arne Slot shuts down Liverpool 'perfection' claim made by TNT Sports host

Replacing was always going to be a tough task for , but so far the new boss .

Taking up the reigns from Klopp in the summer, Slot has guided Liverpool to top of the table, with the Reds having won six of their opening seven Premier League games. They have also won their opening two Champions League games, and resoundingly defeated West Ham in the Carabao Cup 5-1 at Anfield.

The only game the Reds have failed to win this term is the game they lost after the September international break, when they fell 1-0 to Nottingham Forest. The Reds were poor that day, but have since bounced back with five wins on the trot.

But despite the fantastic start Liverpool has made to the season under Slot, the Reds boss does not believe they have begun the new campaign 'brilliantly'.

Speaking to TNT Sports' Lynsey Hipgrave ' before Liverpool's clash against Crystal Palace, the broadcaster asked Slot: "What a brilliant start it has been, eight wins out of nine you have had. What has been key to that brilliant start for you?"

However, Slot quickly replied to Hipgrave, saying: "Brilliant would have been nine out of nine. This has been a very good start, the key is and I have said many times that we have not changed that much.

"And the players bought in, staff bought in and everybody has been working really hard to get the best out of ourselves as teams and individuals. I have said many times already fixture lists has also been good to us if you want to put it that way. Today is a difficult one so let's see."

With Liverpool looking to compete for the Premier League this term against the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal, Slot's mentality of not letting the Reds get too far ahead of themselves will stand them in good stead this term.

Liverpool.com says: "There's no doubt about it - Liverpool has made a brilliant start to life under Arne Slot. But it is also a good sign the Dutchman is not getting carried away with things, keeping his side grounded so they don't get complacent."
