Lucknow: BJP organised mass contact programmes at the booth level a day after the party celebrated its 45th foundation day.
UP BJP president Bhupendra Chaudhary interacted with party officials, local citizens and workers on the foundation day in Moradabad, while Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Maurya and Brajesh Pathak did the same in Aligarh and Lucknow, respectively. State general secretary (organisation) Dharampal Singh also participated in a mass contact programme in Lucknow. Addressing a programme at booth number 299 in Chinhat, Dharampal Singh said that BJP was not just a party but "an idea".
"The party works for the nation, worships Mother India and works for the welfare of all. BJP is moving forward by connecting every region, every language, every sect, and every countryman. BJP today is a party of national interest as well as regional aspirations," he said. He said that the BJP is sustained by the sacrifice and penance of its workers.
"The BJP progressed by working on the ground. It progressed by working shoulder to shoulder with the poor in the villages and in the fields," he said.
